The Creative Learning Alliance has launched their newest project – Show Me STEAM: Physics Fun. After tabling other events and projects in 2020, this endeavor is the first of the Outreach Committee in 2021.
The first iteration of bags will feature physics experiments that anyone can do from home. The experiments will explore theories such as centripetal force, inertia, and energy. Show Me STEAM, while currently physics-based, has the potential to expand and touch on other aspects of STEAM. The committee has already visited about doing a round of hands-on, art-based activities for the next round of kits.
Kits are being released monthly in a pop-up manner; Creative Learning Alliance did their first pop-up at the Empire Market on March 13 and handed out bags to 50 families and individuals. Dates and locations for the next pop-up spots are in the process of being scheduled and, once finalized, can be found on social media @creativelearningalliance. Kits are on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you have a suggested pop-up location or partnership, email us at info@creativelearningalliance.org.
